- the following ores were mined: silvery galena, lead galena, zinc blende (copper?)
- the are more than 70 different minerals to find on Schneeberg
- one mineral is called after the place where it was found: Schneebergit
- easy to find are zinc blende, silver-containing lead galena, granate
- with a little luck one can find pyrite, copper pyrite, malachite, azurite, calcite, silver
- pyrite and copper pyrite and silver can contain traces of gold
