Timmelsalm - Großer Schwarzsee - Karl(Gürtel)scharte - Schneeberg: As a varied one day circular path with starting point Timmelsbrücke (D) and with Schneeberg (F) as destination on the way very much recommended. The Karl(Gürtel)scharte (G) or the Grosse Schwarzsee (I) are also rewarding destinations starting at Schneeberg. The trail 30 from the Timmelsbrücke to the Großen Schwarzsee first leads on an access way to the alpine pasture not very steep to the Timmelsalm, which is run, and then alternately between flat and steep on a narrow hiking trail upwards to the lake. Between the lake and the Karl(Gürtel)scharte one crosses widely the basin- shaped valley down below. Between Schneeberg and the Karl(Gürtel)scharte the narrow mountain path, which is partly interrupted, crosses steep slopes and stony corries (number 29). Between Schneeberg and the Timmelsbrücke one can use the often used hiking trail 29. Time to walk up (down): DI 150 (120) min., IG 90 (80) min., FG 60 (50) min., DF (150 (120) min.
